Celestial Zest is the new album from Peruvian Nostalgia Syndrome, a musical project created by Jack Newell. Jack is known for his odd, lewd, hilarious yet thoughtful personality, something this set of songs demonstrates with ease - with this album, Jack shifts from style to style, covering a broad range of topics: mankind's flaws, relationship experiences, lemon drizzle cake and having a bath with a girl who has conjunctivitis. Jack has branched out musically this time, experimenting with new textures and sounds that help to create a separate feel and atmosphere to each song on the album. The term 'pop' is being stretched to its limits here, as Jack is not afraid to take from multiple genres and build upon them. He has also been improving his technical ability, now able to include more intricate melodies and extended jams to his songs. Overall, Celestial Zest is a deeply interesting album, giving you a musical experience you're unlikely to have heard from anyone else.
